Everyone has heard of getting their beauty rest, which is super important. However, there are also tons of foods that can boost the radiance of your skin, and create the glow that we all crave.
With spring in full swing, and beach season quickly approaching I thought I would give you a couple of smoothie ideas to help you look radiant in the sun!
Skin Glow Smoothie
Berries are loaded with antioxidants, which can remove dullness and make you feel and look lit from within. The flax is full of good fat and lubrication to ward off the remaining winter dryness we all tend to experience in the seasonal transition.
3/4 c blueberries
3/4 c pitted cherries
1/4 avocado (peeled and pitted)
2 tsp ground flaxseed
Water (to thin)
Place all ingredients in the blender and blend on high until thoroughly combined.
If fresh berries or cherries are not an option frozen work too.
Tan Skin Smoothie
Almost everyone feels better with a tan, even though we know soaking up too many rays isn't necessarily a great thing. Good for the soul, not so good for the skin. Boost the melanin in your skin with this beta carotene rich smoothie. Get a jump start on a golden glow without sacrificing your skin health in the process.
1/2 c cantaloupe cubes
1/2 c papaya
Juice of 1 orange
1/2 c carrot juice (or water)
1 small knob of fresh ginger
Place all ingredients in the blender and blend on high until thoroughly combined. Add ice to make it frostier.
